Overview
This is a short, informal group session aimed at all employees within the organisation.
The aim of the course is to raise awareness of the company’s Substance Misuse Policy and its related procedures. Our experienced Learning & Development Officer will give an overview of the policy and explain to delegates the implications the policy will have on both themselves and their employer.
We will very briefly touch upon general drug and alcohol awareness and provide a basic overview of how a sample collection is requested and the subsequent testing process.
Delegate questions are invited and encouraged.
This course can be adapted to suit your individual needs and will last for approximately 2 hours
Course Objectives
This session is suitable for ALL employees to ensure that the company Substance Misuse Policy is fully understood and employees are aware of who to contact following an incident on site.

To discuss with employees the aim of the amnesty period and why it is put in place.
To raise awareness of the most commonly tested drugs of abuse and the effects they may have on them.
To appreciate the concept of employment drug and alcohol testing and be familiar with testing procedures and current industry best practice.
